P.1102 comments on Holy Week recordings. Dad had played for 60 years. P.1104 1997 Dad composed an anthem for Bruce's confirmation based on Veni creator Pentecost sunday. He describes in detail our 50th birthday vespers. Louise sang Stanford Magnificat in G superbly. P.1109 FJ played on his 80th birthday. P.1111 anthem for Bruce. P.1119 Liz's dad very ill.p.1121 he died peacefully iSt Christopher's hospice on the day we got him there from Mayday. He waited until we had gone. This was a real blow. Mum and Dad were so happy at Glyn Close. No. 99 was sold after K died and Janka and Gennik had to move out. Years later we visited the redesigned house it was gorgeous and just one family over 4 floors! P.1122 the funeral Adrian played. P.1123 Louise sang in Mikado at school. We started planning our August 1998 trip to Oz. P.1129 Liz at Lichfield and Brecon while I was again at Canterbury. Dennis got 3 As having spent another year at St Joseph's and was accepted for training at St Bart's. I played twice at Canterbury including the Dorian!

p.215 Ann and Paul planning trip to UK with young Mark. Cassette with Dennis and Louise talking. p.219 our visit to Francis Jackson where he insisted I play the organ in his studio where the balcony is based on Ravel's home - he is a huge fan of Ravel! Priscilla enjoyed the children. On our return Liz went to the Unison Union nursing home in Bournemouth after her op - I could have gone as well very cheaply were it not for the children.

1978 a trio to Winchester with the Hicklings and we sang at Henley and went to evensong at Hambleden. We sang The Light of life at Upper Norwood Methodist behind Tescos. The Jerrims came to dinner (assistant bishop of Tasmania) page 105 charming people. They came from Windsor on a Saturday and Liz was baking and I was at work! July 28 to Orange and we got stuck coming back because of air traffic controllers strike. 24 hours travelling on trains from Charles de Gaulle airport and no way I could ring the library. There were questions about that! 13 August Requiem Mass at St Edmund Beckenham for Gillian and the Pope. She was the first wife of Revd Michael Bourdeaux of Keston College who did a lot of work in Russia and later taught us Old Russian. We met Tom Creagh-Fuller and his parents and sang Faure Requiem. We went to Hexham for Jill's wedding and Joanne liked me (Shirley and Jim's daughter). Liz went to Bournemouth with Dennis, Mum and Dad. I sang at Wonersh with the church choir. Dad's retirement party was at the Post Office tower for dinner! Nov 30 to hotel at Heathrow and flew to Athens, Dubai and a long hop to Singapore. The plane was great and then to Sydney and on to Melbourne where Dad surprised us when he arrived from Sydney. Last flight to Hobart and for some reason the plane circled the harbour. Ann ran onto the tarmac! We met Paul and took to him straight away. page 111. Dad describes Francis Jackson's visit to Tasmania. page 118. page 119 -121
